So, we need a simple classification that separates mats from rugs and vice versa. Today we are going to go across some of the most common differences between rug and mat.

Rugs are smaller than carpets and extend over some area of your floor whereas, mats are smaller than rugs and are commonly used to cover an entrance of a house or a room to place your shoes or wipe your feet.
